Our Verification Process

We manually verify every tradesperson before they receive the ID Verified badge. This ensures you're connecting with legitimate, qualified professionals.

1. ID Verification

We require government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport) to confirm the identity of every tradesperson.

2. Insurance Documents

All tradespeople must provide proof of valid public liability insurance to protect you and your property.

Qualifications & Certifications

In addition to ID and insurance verification, tradespeople can upload their qualifications, licenses, and certifications directly to their profile. These documents are viewable by all customers.

Note: Qualifications are uploaded by tradespeople and displayed on their profiles. While we verify ID and insurance, qualifications are self-reported and viewable for your assessment.

What About Unverified Tradespeople?

New tradespeople can join VeriTrade and apply for jobs immediately while their verification is being processed. However, they won't receive the ID Verified badge until we've completed our manual review.

As a customer: You can still choose to work with unverified tradespeople, but we recommend prioritizing those with the ID Verified badge for your safety and peace of mind.
