By accessing or using VeriTrade ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Eligibility

To use VeriTrade, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Types

VeriTrade offers two types of accounts:

• Tradesperson Accounts: For qualified professionals offering trade services
• Customer Accounts: For individuals or businesses seeking trade services

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Ensuring your profile information is accurate and up-to-date

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post spam, advertisements, or unsolicited messages
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
• Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Scrape or collect data from the Platform without permission

5. Job Postings and Transactions

5.1 Job Posts

Users may post jobs seeking trade services. Job posts must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading. VeriTrade reserves the right to remove any job post that violates these terms.

5.2 Agreements Between Users

VeriTrade is a platform for connecting users. We are not a party to any agreements between tradespeople and customers. All terms, pricing, timelines, and work quality are determined solely between users.

5.3 Architect Disclaimer

IMPORTANT NOTICE: VeriTrade provides ID verification only for architects listed on the platform. We do NOT verify professional qualifications, ARB (Architects Registration Board) registration, RIBA membership, professional indemnity insurance, or any other architectural credentials.

Users engaging with architects on VeriTrade must:

• Independently verify the architect's ARB registration at arb.org.uk
• Confirm RIBA membership if claimed at architecture.com
• Request proof of professional indemnity insurance
• Verify qualifications, portfolio, and references
• Conduct their own due diligence before engaging services

VeriTrade is a connection platform only. We assume no responsibility for the professional qualifications, competence, or work performed by architects. All agreements and liabilities rest solely between the user and the architect.

5.4 Payment

Payment arrangements are made directly between tradespeople and customers. VeriTrade does not process payments or take commission on jobs (except for premium features).

6. Reviews and Ratings

• Reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on genuine experience
• Users may not post fake or misleading reviews
• We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our guidelines
• Reviews become public and are visible to all users

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Platform Content

All content on VeriTrade, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of VeriTrade or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.

7.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting content, you grant VeriTrade a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Platform.

8. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. VeriTrade DOES NOT:

• Guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services offered by tradespeople
• Verify all user credentials or qualifications
• Guarantee the accuracy of user-provided information
• Warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Accept liability for disputes between users

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VeriTrade SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages arising from user interactions or transactions
• Damages exceeding the fees paid by you in the past 12 months

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold VeriTrade harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your content or conduct on the Platform

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse of other users or the Platform
• Non-payment of fees (for premium accounts)

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

12.2 Disputes Between Users

VeriTrade is not responsible for resolving disputes between users. Users are encouraged to resolve disputes directly and professionally.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
